It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s Super Cassette Vision

The Epoch Cassette Vision faced a sharp decline in success after the release of more advanced consoles by Nintendo and Sega in 1983. In an attempt to bounce back, Epoch introduced the Super Cassette Vision in 1984, boasting impressive features such as RGB output, advanced sprites, and a BIOS system. The console allowed for games like Super Mahjongg and Y2 Monster Land, but fell short in terms of music capabilities compared to competitors. Despite the unique hardware, the Super Cassette Vision struggled to compete with the Famicom and ultimately ended up as a third-place console in a market dominated by Nintendo.
