In the blog post “I Built a Deep Research with Open Source—and So Can You!”, we introduced research agents and created a prototype that generates detailed reports on any topic. Similar tools like Perplexity Deep Research and Hugging Face’s Open DeepResearch have gained popularity in understanding and reproducing OpenAI’s Deep Research. Our new open-source project, DeepSearcher, showcases concepts like query routing, conditional execution flow, and web crawling. This Python library surpasses our previous post by allowing input of multiple sources and choosing the embedding model and vector database. The article also explores the need for faster inference services to improve output. Check out more details on our website and try out DeepSearcher on GitHub!
