In 1974, my parents embarked on a legendary canoe trip from Vancouver to Alaska, inspiring me to create a documentary about their journey. Amidst naysayers and adverse conditions, they paddled through North America’s wildest landscapes, leaving an unforgettable mark on their lives. Decades later, we refurbished the old canoes and set out to fulfill their dream of reaching Juneau. Surrounded by breathtaking wildlife, we spent days bonding and reconnecting with our family history. This epic adventure taught us that everyone can embark on their own remarkable journey, and that the stories we tell shape who we are. A profound experience that transcends generations.
