Collapse OS

Collapse OS is a unique Forth operating system designed to survive through civilizational collapse. It can run on minimal machines, interface through improvised means, edit text and binary contents, compile assembler source, and more. The project aims to be self-contained, allowing a creative person to build and install Collapse OS on a machine from scavenged parts with low-tech tools. It runs on various machines with very little resources, can assemble different binaries, program microcontrollers, and has powerful features like text and binary editors, as well as a Forth interpreter. The code is available on SourceHut, and funding is welcomed from rich philanthropists. Contact the creator, Virgil Dupras, for more information.
