The team behind Rich and Textual, popular Python libraries for the terminal, is introducing a new project called textual-web. This allows users to turn a Textual-powered TUI into a web application. The textual-web command enables users to publish any Textual app on the web, making it accessible to anyone with the URL, without the need for a socket server or complex configurations. These web apps can be quickly created and run on any device with an internet connection, and can be built by developers familiar with Python. In future releases, more Web platform APIs will be supported, such as notifications and file system access, and PWA support is also planned. Textual Web is currently in public beta.
