Detroit man steals 800 gallons using Bluetooth to hack gas pumps at station

In a sophisticated scam, gas station owners are being targeted by scammers who are using Bluetooth technology to hack into pumps and steal gas for free. In a recent incident at a Shell gas station in Detroit, a thief managed to steal almost 800 gallons of gas, worth nearly $3,000. The thief overrides the system by connecting to the pump remotely using Bluetooth from their phone. This is not an isolated incident, as another gas station in Riverview fell victim to a similar scam. Gas station owners are now being more vigilant and alerting the police if they notice any suspicious activity.
