In March 2020, during the COVID-19 quarantine, the author decided to learn iOS development and chose SwiftUI to build their own stock portfolio tracker. Over the course of two years, they spent countless hours building and refining the app, incorporating features like per-transaction gain/loss tracking and stock split adjustments. The author took a custom approach to design and navigation, creating a unique and immersive user experience. They received positive feedback from an alpha test group and even created a website with an engaging homepage showcasing the app’s functionality. Ultimately, the project was put on hold due to increasing costs and time commitments.
