Roombas at the end of the world

The Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station is a scientific research base located at the most isolated place on Earth. During the winter, the station is inhabited by only about 40 people who are completely cut off from the outside world for eight months. In this desolate environment, the South Pole Roombas, robotic vacuum cleaners, have become a source of entertainment and companionship for the station’s residents. The Roombas, named Bert, Ernie, Sam, and Frodo, provide a much-needed distraction from the monotonous routine of life at the South Pole. A recent incident involving the disappearance of Ernie led to a hilarious ransom saga, showcasing the creativity and humor of the residents. These Roombas, although past their prime, have become cherished members of the South Pole community, filling the void of pets that are not allowed due to ecological preservation regulations.
