Android and RISC-V: What you need to know to be ready

We are thrilled to announce that Android is now officially supporting RISC-V, a free and open instruction set architecture. RISC-V has gained popularity over the years and is used in various domains, including embedded systems, servers, and mobile computing. While Android’s support for RISC-V is still a work in progress, developers can already build, test, and run basic Android experiences on RISC-V, thanks to the patches that have been released. We are also collaborating with the RISE Project, a consortium of industry leaders, to accelerate the availability of software for RISC-V. We are excited about the future possibilities and are actively investing in RISC-V development. Visit our resources to learn more and get involved in contributing to the project.
