Bibi-Binary

The Bibi-binary system is a unique hexadecimal numeral system that was first described by singer/mathematician Robert “Boby” Lapointe in 1968. It uses newly devised symbols to represent the digits in a base sixteen numeral, avoiding any confusion with the decimal system. The symbols are designed to make the language easy to use and understand. The system also includes a pronunciation for each digit, using combinations of consonants and vowels. Negative numbers are represented using ones’ complement, unlike modern computers which use two’s complement. The Bibi-binary system has found use in various applications such as art, music, and architecture.
