W4 Games raises $15M to drive video game development with Godot Engine

W4 Games, an Irish startup founded by Godot veterans, has secured a $15 million Series A funding round led by OSS Capital and Naval Ravikant, founder of AngelList. Other notable investors include Justin Hoffman, Larry Augustin, Alex Atallah, and Thomas Dohmke. W4 Games aims to leverage the Godot Engine, a free and open-source technology, to create a thriving ecosystem for video game development. They believe that the Godot Engine will become the most popular game engine in the world within the next decade. The funding will fuel W4 Games’ growth and expansion plans, including strengthening its role within the Godot ecosystem, international expansion, and the development of a new Godot education program.
