Jeremy Howard and Eric Ries have launched Answer.AI, a new AI R&D lab focused on creating practical end-user products based on foundational research breakthroughs. The lab, supported with a $10 million investment from Decibel VC, will be a fully-remote team of deep-tech generalists, choosing the best talent regardless of background. Howard, the co-founder of fast.ai, will bring his expertise in making AI more accessible, while Ries, creator of the Lean Startup movement, will contribute his knowledge of development and governance.
