In collaboration with the US Geological Survey, Esri has updated their online USGS historical topographic map collection with over 1,745 new maps, now totaling over 181,000 unique maps. Corrected maps have been included based on user feedback. These maps date back to 1884 and can be used in various Esri applications. The Historical Topo Map Explorer app allows users to easily search and download these maps, with new features like overlaying maps on satellite images and 3D hillshades. The collection is part of the USGS Historical Topographic Map Collection, which covers maps from 1884 to 2006. Additional resources and tools from USGS are also available for map enthusiasts.
