The Tor Project’s users forum is migrating to the organization’s own server infrastructure from the free cloud hosting offered by Discourse. This step is expected to provide the organization better control over the forum’s configuration. Furthermore, an experimental onion service has been provided for users accessing the forum via the Tor network. The migration will take place on June 20th and the forum will have a new address: forum.torproject.org. Visitors to the old address will be diverted to the new one automatically. If users have enabled two-factor authentication, they should either make sure that they have preserved backup codes or disable 2FA before June 20th, 2023.
