The author recently set up a new laptop and was reluctant to go through the usual process of setting it up. Thanks to a colleague’s suggestion, they decided to copy the entire disk to the new laptop. By exporting the disk using NVME over TCP and connecting it over the network, they successfully copied the disk, resized the partition to use the full 1TB, resized LUKS, and resized the BTRFS root disk. This process saved time and provided the author with a valuable learning experience in exporting disks using NVME over TCP, making the transition to the new laptop seamless and efficient.
