For just $250, you can build and control your own robot arm using Dynamixel XL430 and Dynamixel XL330 servo motors. The arm is lightweight and fast, with the first two joints being powered by the stronger XL430 motors. The build includes a cheaper adapter board to connect the servos to a computer, as the official one is expensive and has high latency. The leader arm, inspired by the GELLO project, is simpler to assemble and uses all 5v motors. It features a unique trigger-based gripper design.
