The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) in Abu Dhabi launched the Falcon 2 Series, introducing the Falcon 2 11B model with groundbreaking Vision-to-Language capabilities. The Falcon 2 11B outperforms Meta’s Llama 3 8B and competes with Google’s Gemma 7B model. Both the Falcon 2 11B and Falcon 2 11B VLM are open-source and multilingual, with the VLM being the only multimodal model on the market with image-to-text conversion capabilities. The models are versatile, efficient, and suitable for various industries. Future plans include expanding the Falcon 2 Series with ‘Mixture of Experts’ for enhanced machine learning capabilities. The Falcon 2 models are designed for developers worldwide, emphasizing accessibility, versatility, and cutting-edge AI innovation.
