The ISO C++ committee has finished its meeting in Varna, Bulgaria, where it started to adopt features into C++26. The committee adopted 40 proposed change papers for C++26, including new features like hazard pointers and Read-Copy-Update (RCU) for deferred cleanup. The library evolution subgroup (LEWG) has design consensus on P1928 SIMD, P0876 Fibers, and P0843 inplace_vector. The C++26 schedule has also been adopted for the next three-year cycle. The next two meetings will be in Kona, Hawaii, and Tokyo, Japan, in November and March, respectively.
