In a clinical trial, duct tape was found to be more effective than cryotherapy in the treatment of common warts in children, with 85% of patients in the duct tape group experiencing complete resolution compared to 60% in the cryotherapy group. This surprising finding challenges conventional treatment methods for warts. Future studies are recommended to analyze the treatment effects comprehensively. This research sheds light on the potential benefits of duct tape occlusion therapy for wart removal, offering a simple and cost-effective alternative to traditional treatments.
