This month in Servo: console logging, parallel tables, OpenXR, and more

In a recent update, Servo’s unique parallel layout engine has improved even further by enhancing its rendering capabilities to XR headsets via OpenXR. Several new features were added in nightly builds, including support for various methods and properties. The update also introduced an experimental OpenXR backend, enabling Servo to display WebXR content on headsets like the Quest 3 in Quest Link mode. Significant improvements in rendering changes, such as enabling parallel table layout and flexbox layout engine support, were also highlighted. Additionally, servoshell now has experimental OpenHarmony support, and various optimizations have been made to reduce the binary size. The post also includes information on changes for Servo developers, donations, conferences, and blogs, along with a tribute to Alan Jeffrey, a key member of the Servo team.
