iPhone 16’s A18 Pro chip outperforms the M1 chip

The latest Geekbench results for the iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro chip show impressive performance improvements, with a single-core score of 3429 and a multi-core score of 8790. The A18 Pro chip is shown to be faster than the previous A17 Pro chip in the iPhone 15 Pro, and even surpasses the M1 chip used in Apple’s Macs and iPads in most benchmarks. Despite these impressive results, it’s noted that benchmarks may not always accurately reflect real-world performance. The new iPhone models are based on a 2nd generation 3nm process, similar to the M4 chip in the iPad Pro, and are available for pre-order now.
