Film cans containing unseen Thunderbirds footage, including an alternative version of an episode, were discovered in a garden shed in Buckinghamshire. The cans were found by the family of an editor who worked on the show. The footage, filmed on the Slough Trading Estate in Berkshire in the 1960s, is now in the hands of Century 21 Films. The process of scanning the material has been slow but rewarding, with some surprises like an alternative scene in an existing episode. The hope is to restore the footage and share it with the public for the show’s 60th anniversary in 2025, after decades of being hidden.
