Graphite, a Blender-inspired 2D procedural design Rust app

Graphite is a free, open-source vector and raster graphics engine offering a nondestructive editing workflow combining layer-based compositing with node-based generative design. The software started as a vector editor but is evolving into a graphics toolbox with features for graphic design, image editing, motion graphics, digital painting, VFX compositing, and desktop publishing. It provides procedural vector graphics editing and is set to include raster manipulation features. Graphite’s unique selling point is its procedural editing approach, allowing users to make nondestructive alterations quickly by adjusting node parameters. The software also allows for infinite zooming, panning, and pixelation-free viewing of content. Future updates will include support for generative AI and asset pipelines.
