The article presents a new sub-terahertz wireless link that achieves a maximum data rate of 240 Gbit/s using on-line signal processing. This is the highest single-channel performance ever reported in sub-THz wireless communications. The technology utilizes photonics-based ultra-low phase noise transmitter and receiver, allowing for successful transmission at a data rate of over 200 Gbit/s over a distance of 20 meters. This groundbreaking achievement opens up possibilities for high-speed wireless communication in the sub-THz range.
