While in talks with Google about a similar AI partnership, Apple seems to be leaning towards OpenAI. The agreement with OpenAI would allow Apple to offer new AI features, with details still uncertain. iOS 18’s AI features will rely on Apple data centers and on-device processing for privacy and speed benefits. OpenAI is also working on an AI voice assistant to rival Siri and Google Assistant. The announcements are expected at WWDC in June.
