Architecture 4031: Introductory Coreboot

The coreboot firmware framework has recently gained popularity and is used as default boot firmware for Google Chromebooks. This course focuses on the design principles and boot process of coreboot, as well as creating a development environment that will lead to successful building and running of QEMU emulated targets. The course requires a comfort level with Linux command line and is used in various learning paths such as firmware security, architecture, development, and trusted system design. The course is taught by Piotr Król, an open-source evangelist with experience in embedded firmware and Linux communities and Michał Żygowski, a firmware engineer with extensive technical skills in firmware and hardware.
