At Slack, customer satisfaction is our top priority, and accessibility is a key component of building trust with our customers. We have our own Slack Accessibility Standards that product teams adhere to in order to ensure compliance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). Our dedicated accessibility team assists developers throughout the development process, and we also collaborate with external testers specializing in accessibility. In 2022, we introduced automated accessibility testing for desktop to enhance our testing strategy. Despite the challenges of automated tools, we integrated Axe into our framework to streamline accessibility checks. We continue to focus on improving our accessibility testing process to provide a seamless experience for all users.
