John Clifton Davies, a convicted fraudster, is back at it again with two new scam companies called Equity-Invest[.]ch and Diligere[.]co.uk. Davies, who previously swindled struggling businesses in the UK out of millions through fake insolvency services, now poses as “John Bernard,” a billionaire Swiss investor. He promises to invest millions in hi-tech startups but requires hefty upfront due diligence fees. Both Equity-Invest and Diligere are connected to Davies and his previous fraudulent ventures. A recent victim of the scam discovered that the websites of Diligere and InsideKnowledge[.]ch, one of Davies’ phony due diligence companies, had identical copy and suspicions were confirmed, exposing the connection to Davies.
