Einstein’s Other Theory of Everything

In 1915, at the age of 37, Einstein completed his theory of general relativity, proposing that everything is a deformation of spacetime. Despite his failure to develop a unified field theory combining space, time, energy, and matter, he attempted to interpret elementary particles as solutions to his equations. Einstein even explored the idea of matter being made of spacetime itself, leading to the concept of wormholes. Although this theory was eventually abandoned in favor of new ideas like string theory, physicist Sabine Hossenfelder raises interesting questions about Einstein’s pioneering work and the importance of not forgetting his bold and ambitious ideas in understanding the universe.
