Framework Laptop has developed a custom high-efficiency 180W USB-C power adapter with power adapter manufacturer Chicony. The new adapter is a significant upgrade from Framework’s previous 60W power adapter, enabling higher performance, while the adapter body is compact, measuring just 116.6 x 58.2 x 27mm. The adapter offers 93% efficiency and also uses latest generation GaN switching parts for smoother operations. The Framework Laptop 16 can be used with different power adapter configurations, including personalized DIY edition configurations without the need for a power adapter. Additionally, the adapter’s cables are removable for replacement.
