Framework Laptop 16 Deep Dive: Display

Framework has launched a series of blog posts on its website providing more detailed information about the design of the upcoming Framework Laptop 16. The first post describes the 16″ 16:10 display, which was developed with Chinese panel maker BOE to meet gaming, content creation, and general productivity needs while remaining thin, light, power efficient, and cost effective. The panel features 2560×1600 resolution, a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, variable refresh rate up to 165Hz, 9ms rise+fall time, 1500:1 contrast, and an unusually high 500 nit brightness. It also offers the same matte top surface as the new display in the Framework Laptop 13, making it easier to read in direct sunlight.
