GE Vernova’s Onshore Wind business has entered into a new equipment and long-term services deal with Pattern Energy to supply 674 wind turbines for the SunZia Wind project in New Mexico. This project is expected to be the largest wind project in US history, providing over 2.4 GW of power generation. The 3.6-154 turbine, designed specifically for the US market, is GE’s next generation workhorse product and offers high efficiency and optimized size for ease of logistics and installation. The collaboration between GE Vernova and Pattern Energy aims to maximize turbine performance and consistency while creating new jobs in manufacturing and construction. The project will be supplied through GE Vernova’s nacelle and tower manufacturing facilities in the US.
