English language is seen as deteriorating, but many believe that it cannot be fixed. People think that fighting against language abuse is an old-fashioned sentiment and that language is a natural growth that cannot be shaped. However, the decline of a language has political and economic causes. It becomes ugly and imprecise because our thoughts are foolish, but our language also contributes to our foolishness. Luckily, the process can be reversed. If we get rid of bad habits in our writing, we can think more clearly, which is crucial for political regeneration.
