General Motors has updated their electric vehicles’ software to allow customers access to Tesla’s Supercharging network. Owners of Chevy, Cadillac, and GMC EVs can now purchase GM-approved Tesla adapters through brand apps for $225. GM plans to include Tesla’s charging port in future vehicles. This move, which took over 15 months to implement, will provide access to 17,800 Tesla Supercharger plugs. GM’s decision to sell adapters instead of giving them away for free may cause controversy. The auto giant is also working on developing new fast EV chargers in partnership with other automakers.
