Lego price per part over the years

The author was questioned about the validity of comparing Price Per Part (PPP) between LEGO sets, particularly regarding the inclusion of Duplo sets in the average PPP figure for a given year. This raised an interesting point about potentially skewed data and prompted a reevaluation of the PPP calculations. The author had initially added PPP as a tool to help with MOCing decisions and had not considered the impact of including different types of sets in the calculations. Thanks to Jared’s observation, the calculations were adjusted for inflation to provide more accurate comparisons over the years.
