Figma is launching Dev Mode, a new workspace designed to bridge the gap between designers and developers by providing developers with the tools they need the most and when they need them. Dev Mode is like a browser inspector for design files and brings design concepts such as shapes, layers, and groups closer to developer concepts like code, icons, and tokens. The GitHub plugin can also link files, issues, and pull requests to Figma components and designs, keeping context in one place. Furthermore, a series of updates including design tokens and advanced prototyping will be launched to help users go from design to build seamlessly.
