The bcachefs filesystem may finally be getting ready for inclusion in the mainline Linux kernel after creator Kent Overstreet talked about the process of getting it upstream. He opened his talk at the 2023 Linux Storage, Filesystem, Memory-Management and BPF Summit by declaring that the project is finally ready for merging into the Linux kernel. Despite the progress made, there is still work to do, but the major feature work is lessening.
