The Microsoft Azure Portal is down due to a suspected DDoS attack by a threat actor known as Anonymous Suda, who shared an image of the page not working on social media. The incident has affected Azure customers since approximately 15:00 UTC on 9 June 2023, with Microsoft currently working to mitigate the issue. This comes after the same group conducted DDoS attacks on other Microsoft web portals, including Outlook.com and OneDrive. While Anonymous Suda claims to be a hacktivist protesting the US’s involvement in Sudanese affairs, some believe the group to be Russian. Microsoft is investigating the issue and working to restore services.
