NetBSD on a JavaStation

Java was once a promising platform destined for greatness, with an aim to revolutionize computation from cell phones to supercomputers as a universal graphical platform. However, plans didn’t quite pan out, despite efforts like the JavaStation that never fully materialized. Years later, a journey to revive forgotten technology led to the discovery of a dead NVRAM battery causing the JavaStation’s issues. Through a series of meticulous configurations and network booting procedures involving RARP, tftp, and NFS, the JavaStation finally booted up, revealing its FORTH interpreter environment and potential for further experimentation with running an actual OS like NetBSD.
