A team of specialists from the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico recently presented the discovery of three new Aztec codices, known as the Codices of San Andrés Tetepilco. This is a significant and exciting find, shedding light on the history of the Culhuacan polity. The newly discovered codices contain valuable information about the founding of Tetepilco, the church of San Andrés Tetepilco, and the history of the Tenochtitlan polity. The unique iconography and writing in these codices provide new insights into Aztec communication.
