Newly discovered comet Nishimura could be visible to naked eye this weekend

A comet named Nishimura, discovered just a month ago, could be visible to the naked eye this weekend, providing a rare opportunity for stargazers. Most comets are discovered long before they reach their peak visibility, but Nishimura is an exception. It will pass closest to the sun on September 17 and will be 33 million km away from it. While it will safely remain at a distance of 125 million km from Earth, it will be best seen this Saturday and Sunday in the northern hemisphere. Stargazers are advised to look towards the northeastern direction before sunrise for the best viewing experience.
