Open Beam Interface

The Open Beam Interface features 2 high-speed DACs and 1 high-speed ADC to control the beam and obtain images. Built on Glasgow and written in Amaranth, the gateware allows for easy byte access in and out of the FPGA via USB. Glasgow handles byte communication with the computer, while the software forms images and supports raster and vector pattering. The roadmap includes capturing high-resolution images, implementing new imaging modes, and integrating with various microscopes. The project welcomes microscope donations for hardware development and acknowledges sponsors for their contributions. Controversially, the content lacks specific details on potential issues with tapping signal paths or fabricating custom cables.
