Open source rules engine for Magic: The Gathering

Forge is an open-source “Rules Engine” for the popular card game Magic: the Gathering, completely unrelated to the creators of the game, Wizards of the Coast. The software, released under the GNU Public License, offers a wide range of features and options. It supports up to 8 players, with control given to either humans or AI. Almost all of Magic’s cards, over 99% of them, are available on Forge, making it even more diverse than the official Magic Online. Forge also offers unique gameplay experiences, such as RPG elements in Quest mode and the new Adventure Mode, reminiscent of the classic ‘Shandalar’ 90’s PC game. However, it should be noted that playing against other humans online may result in errors. The project was initially created by one programmer and has since been improved by various other developers. The history of Forge is being chronicled for future reference.
