OpenTofu 1.7.0 is out with State Encryption, Dynamic Provider-defined Functions

OpenTofu 1.7.0 is now available, offering end-to-end state encryption to protect your data and the ability to use provider-defined functions and custom functions within your code. The new version also includes features such as removed blocks for managing resources and loopable import blocks for large-scale migrations. The OpenTofu community has grown significantly since its launch, with a notable increase in registry usage and contributions from 65 unique contributors. OpenTofu, a community-driven project and alternative to Terraform™, is known for its state file recording capabilities and ease of infrastructure creation.
