OpenWrt 23.05

The OpenWrt community is excited to announce the release of the OpenWrt 23.05 stable series. This version is a Linux operating system designed for embedded devices, providing a complete replacement for the original firmware of various wireless routers and non-network devices. The new release incorporates over 4300 commits and has been under development for more than a year. It supports over 1790 devices, with over 200 new device supports added. Some notable changes include transitioning to mbedtls as the default cryptographic library and the ability to include rust-written programs into the OpenWrt package infrastructure. Users can use Sysupgrade to upgrade their devices, with configuration preservation in most cases.
