Origami Simulator

This web content is about a paper airplane pattern that was entered by Scott Pakin. The pattern needs to be folded slowly for it to fold correctly. When the pattern is triangulated, it forms many unstable skinny triangles. The design of the pattern was inspired by the Spidron Tessellation by Daniel Kwan and other similar spiral tessellations. The original pattern is available at Ullagami and the file was generated by Polygami, an app created by Shahul Alam, Lauren Huang, and Mahi Shafiullah. There is an option to allow user interaction and to drag the central vertex to create an alternate, inverted configuration. The crease pattern was corrected and modified for rigid origami by William Gardner and is based on the Flower Tower design by Chris K. Palmer. The crease pattern files were generated by William Gardner. The pattern can be folded to around 65% and it will settle into a curved shape.
