IM-1 Mission recently commanded a lunar correction maneuver to raise Odysseus’ orbit, updating the landing time to 1524 CST. Flight controllers are working meticulously to prepare for the next challenge: Lunar Orbit Insertion (LOI), with an expected 1630 CST landing opportunity. A unique image was captured by Odysseus’ Terrain Relative Navigation camera of the Bel’kovich K crater. The IM-1 mission has been executing successful planned maneuvers to ensure the lander is in excellent health, and they aim to provide daily mission updates. Surprisingly, Odysseus is now closer to the Moon than the end-to-end distance driving across Space City, Houston, TX.
