Users of several Google Pixel smartphones continue to experience issues when trying to call 911 emergency services. This problem persists despite a bug being identified and fixed in January 2022. The bug was originally attributed to Microsoft Teams, and both Google and Microsoft released patches early in 2022. However, it appears that some Pixel devices still struggle to connect to emergency services. One Redditor shared their distressing experience of their Pixel 7 failing to connect to 911, while the Pixel 6 Pro had no issues. Similar reports, totaling over 20 incidents, have been compiled and were last updated in January 2023. Google has been contacted for comment.
