RCA and the Roaring Twenties

RCA, known for its success during the Roaring Twenties, saw its stock price skyrocket during the 1920s only to then plummet by 98% after the 1929 peak. Despite this, RCA gradually recovered and exceeded its 1929 highs before being bought out by General Electric in 1986. Initially started as Marconi Wireless, RCA transformed into a dominant radio communications company in the US. The company pioneered broadcasting and formed NBC, only to later lose many of its biggest stars due to tax loopholes. Despite efforts to diversify, RCA was never able to replicate the success it had in radio and television. In 1986, RCA was acquired by General Electric, ending its 67-year existence.
