Same Stop: Life after 26 years as a programmer for Apple

After retiring from a 26-year career as a programmer for Apple, the author was initially relieved to be done with programming. However, after a few months, they found themselves starting a small project to learn Python and play with e-ink displays. Since programming had initially been a hobby for them, it’s not surprising that they eventually returned to it. While the author did all manner of other things in their early retirement, this year they find themselves tip-toeing back into full-time programming with old nemesis C calling to them. They even have a desire to go back and rewrite some of their shareware games from over three decades ago. They may have a programming addiction and are back coding in their spare time.
